You are invited to read as many books as you possibly can this school year. I always encourage you to read genres about which you are most passionate, and to read these as often as you can. However, as IB learners, it is also important that we be risk-takers and open-minded in order to step outside of our comfort zones in order to broaden our perspectives, in order to build stronger contexts/background knowledge, and in order to make ourselves more overall well-rounded, lifelong readers. As you choose your books for independent reading this year, it is expected that each six weeks, you choose to read at least ONE book from each of the different genres/categories listed below.
